Cloud joined the Coalition Enforcement Agency as part of a long-term plan to rescue her lover Trey from a Coalition Prisoner Storage Facility. She mutinied and took control of a Coalition spaceship with the help of Marcus, Keri, Phun, Zoe, and Tym, and together they pulled off the rescue.

One of the Players. Imprisoned in a bubble-universe known as Red World, Cougardan is able to escape when Saintjohn briefly granted Marcus and Keri world-altering powers. Cougardan seems intent on destroying worlds for his own entertainment and has attempt to have Marcus and Keri and their friends killed apparently because Saintjohn is fond of them.

Death (aka Thanatos)

One of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and father of Phobia. When the ancient gods and goddesses began to die off, Death led an attempt to take over their strongholds with the intent to rule all the realms of the universe. The attempt was foiled, in large part by the Goddess Ishtar who trapped him and all the other Archetypes in Limbo.

The Dragon

Little is known about the man who calls himself The Dragon. He was shadowing Marcus and Keri and their friends on Aztec World, and had his own TUP (Trans-Universal Positioner) but when he followed them to Hippie World, he was knocked unconscious by the Player Snapdragon. When he awoke, he was naked and in bed with Blue, one of the Hippie Chicks that Marcus and Keri and their friends had encountered.


Dude in Suit

On Old Paonia, he was one of the numerous people who showed up when Marcus and Keri held auditions to star in the comic strip that they'd learned their lives were the focus of. One of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the original Horseman Famine. Driven insane by the combined stress of several events (the death of his lover at War's hands, the imprisonment of the Archetypes in Limbo by Ishtar, the use of Anhks by Marcus and Keri and the gang to try to defeat him). He is replaced by Gordo.

Arriving on 'New Paonia' Bobbi Jo discovered that her (and Leslie's) alternates had killed themselves by jumping off a bridge just outside Maxwell Point, Paonia, but that the bodies had never been found. She used faking her own death as a cover story to approach Grams who once again gave her seed money to start Goth Girls Pizza.

While the Gunman is not a Player, he was hired by Cougardan to kidnap Marcus and Keri and their friends. Benny interrupted the kidnapping, sending himself and his friends on a world-hopping adventure and sending the Gunman plummeting to his death.

On 'New Paonia', OSB appeared to have died, probably at the hands of victims of Famine. It was later learned that he had only been knocked unconscious and was rescued by Blue Glasses Girl (Michele).

Phobia

Phobia is the teenaged daughter of Thanatos, the Horsean Death. After an arguement with her dad over her not wanting to take over the family business, she runs away to the Sand Castle, home of the Archetype of Dreams, where she accidentally passes through a dream mirror into Marcus' nightmare. She goes on to share the nightmares of several of Marcus' friends before waking up in the girls' cabin. She decided to stay on Earth since the Goddess Ishtar's spell prevented her dad from coming to get her there and Ally allowed her to remain.
When Jimmy and Benny accidentally freed her dad and the other three Horsemen of the Apocalypse from Limbo, potentially triggering the end of the world, Phobia joined the efforts to defeat her dad.


Pizotzin, Emperor of the Northern Plains Territories of the Aztec Emperor

Appears in: Chapter 2 (52-53, 55-56, 58)

Pizotzin was all too glad to accept the appearance of Marcuc, Keri, Phun, Jimmy, and Benny as the return of the gods because it enhanced his position within the empire.

Originally the Horseman Pestilense, he became the Horseman Plague as Humanity's collective unconscious evolved. He has both a sense of humor (naming his horse Pestilense; making s'mores whileplotting the destruction of the world) and a cynical streak. He is also a fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Engaged, against her will, to Prince Chuck, Annabella used Jimmy's obvious infatuation with her to persuade him and his friends to help her escape from a tower in her father's castle where she'd been locked up to await the wedding. She rode off with Terril, whom she loves, leaving a disappointed Jimmy to be imprisoned for helping her.

Unjustly sentenced to a living death during the reign of the Aztec Empire, she was freed and returned to life when Marcus and Keri discovered the tomb she was in. Granted knowledge of the modern world by the spirits of the family who was responsible for her imprisonment, she has struck up a friendship with her distant relative Alberto and 'discovered' the ancient Aztec tomb outside of Centerville. During the Four Horsemen incident, she was temporarily under the influence of the Horseman War before being freed by Marcus and Keri and their friends.

Classmate of Marcus and Keri and girlfriend of Snake. She and Snake earned their nicknames the night of the Great Centerville Blackout when they put on an impromptu candlelit concert of Jimmy Buffet songs. Arriving on a alternate Earth and discovering that their alternates had died there the day after the blackout, she showed up at Snake's parents house with him. Believed to be con artists they were arrested and were still in jail when the Horseman War took over the County Courthouse complex. She and Snake were freed from War's influence by Marcus and Keri and their friends.

One of the serving girls assigned to take care of the newly arrived 'gods' (Marcus, Keri, Jimmy, Phun, and Benny), Tzeliaque falls for Benny. When Benny activated the TUP to force Jimmy to accompany the rest, 'Zelli' was accidentally taken along on the rest of their world-hopping adventures. Shortly after their arrival on 'New Paonia', the Players retrieved her and returned her to her proper home.


 

Ullamalitzli Players

Ullamalitzli is an Aztec game wherein players kick a ball around the court in a soccer-like fashion while trying to kick it through a vertically oriented hoop high on the wall. It is not uncommon for prisoners of war to be forced to play the game with the members of the losing team being sacrificed to the gods.
