Before the day I met you
I didn't know what to do
Nights and days went by real slow
One hour felt like two

Before the day I met you
I was down most of the time
And believe me it wasn't pretty
My bells of life gave no chime

Before the day I met you
Nights were long, Days were dreary
I kept my thoughts to myself
As I wondered sad and weary

But then that day, it finally came
The day the sun would finally shine
That day was great, that day was grand
The day you would be mine

So now I'm happy full of glee
I mean this, really it is true
The before the day I met you
I never said "I love you"
