You consume me like a flame
But I'm the only one to blame
I feel dumb as can be
For letting you take over me

Where did you get such power?
You control my every hour
I can't get you out of my head
I remember every word that you said

I wish you would leave me alone
I feel like a child even though I'm grown
I wish we had never met
I just said something that I regret

I will have control again one day
I won't care about anything you say
But for now I fall apart at the seams
As I continue to hold on to my dreams
