I look inside myself and see
Someone so alone, so scared,
So afraid to leave the safety of her
Abode inside herself.
Her kind words unrequited,
Her emotions walked all over
In this cruel and heartless society.
Too shy to stand up for herself and
Her thoughts, too shy to stand up for
Her love and her life,
Hurt one too many times by people she thought
She could trust and people she
Thought she loved.
She lives, alone, in her own little corner,
Too manipulated to be angry,
And too kind not too forgive.
