As I watch through the
Windows of my closed mind,
I see you standing there,
Head in your hands,
Tears in your eyes,
Heart broken on the floor.
A sadness aches inside me,
For I was the one, yes,
It was me who did this to you.
I tried not to show how it hurt,
I tried to ignore your sadness,
Ignore your pain.
My eyes watched,
Hardened from years of practice.
But secretly I was weeping inside.
I never meant to hurt you so,
I never wanted to let you go.
And now these tears I cry,
Sliding down my cheeks you once caressed,
Mean nothing to you, for
The damage is done,
And I was the one,
Who hurt you.
