She held her head high-
High above all,
A goddess that's what her
Name was, that,
Artemis Dupery.
Goddess, oh she was,
With fair hair and hazel
Eyes that pierce the soul.
She's into people, me,
With clarity not expected from
One so young, just
Seventeen.
Seventeen and so was I,
Languishing in our torrid
Affairs and mundane lives.
No one could see
Me the way she could.
That goddess, that girl.
Artemis.
