Death has come the bell
proclaims

It takes the place of life
which is no more

And yet, a soul remains

A soul remains of God's
design

A soul remains to soar, to fly,
and briefly touch those
other souls of other bells

A soul remains in carefree
flight, and having touched
soars ever onward

Forever touching and
forever touched by

Those it loved

(This is a poem I wrote in 1959, which means I was 17 years old at the time. I couldn't comprehend going to heaven and being together with mother, father, sister and brother and all of the lovers you had in your life time. Then I thought, "maybe in the flicker of flight you see them all but in tiny flashes that become constant in time". --Jimbo)
