Earth Mother kneels and sits back on her heels
The children have all been created
Arms outstretched she sends the children forth
Though she wants to hold them near
Her face is joy, yet great sorrow

Children run in joy and laughter
The run in jubilance
They run farther and farther
Some hesitancy some fear, yet
Farther they run from their Mother

Farther and farther they run
Now in great exuberance and pleasure
They run

At first in doubt, then in sorrow, then in fear they ran
Now they leap and float into the distance
Children of that one Earth Mother have become
The races of man
