My heart years the moment you came into the door
I have wanted to ask you out, but afraid to ask
Wanted to kiss you, but too shy to do so
Wanted to give you the moon and the stars, but afraid that you would reject me.
My heart yearns for your love, compassion, and friendship,
but too stupid enough to get the courage to
say hi or ask you out.
When will I get the chance to say "I love you" to your face and not in my mind?
Perhaps someday when I am confident to say so and am able to take rejection if you reject me.
Until then, I will just sit there with my eyes on you,
heart pitter patting at your beauty and wondering how we would be together.
My heart does yearn and will never stop yearning for all time.
