Skating was my love
My dream, my passion, my life
The wind in my hair, the sun on my face,
The Spinning, jumping, Figure eights.
Then one day, while skating so free
The ice gave way?
The entry point I couldn't see
Searching, scratching, kicking
Freezing, Drowning, Screaming,
Now I skate and always will
On the other side of the ice.
Won't you come join me?
On the other side of the ice?
I can see you skating,
up there so free,
Skate over here,
Can you feel the urge, can you hear my call?
Beckoning, Crying, reaching out.
Take my hand, come join me,
on my side of the ice
You and I can skate for eternity
On MY side of the ice.
