I lie alone at night,
     terrified of being here
But no one’s coming, no one cares

I scream out into the dark,
     waiting for an answer
But no one’s coming, no one cares
I awake from the nightmare that haunts me,
my body wracking with sobs as I shriek in fright and terror
But no one’s coming, no one cares

I cry out for you, waiting for your warmth:
all I find is the cold of death
But no one’s coming, no one cares
I hear the piercing scream that rings through the night
and find the bloody knife glistening in the moonlight
But no one’s coming, no one cares

I discover your limp dead body
     and I shake with horror
But no one’s coming, no one cares
I spot the loaded gun
     and race to it
But no one’s coming, no one cares

I point the gun at my head,
screaming your name as I pull the trigger
But no came, no one cared.
